Bowood House
Bowood House is a stunning grade I listed Georgian country house with interiors by Robert Adam and a garden and parklands designed by Lancelot "Capability" Brown which is open to the public. It is also the family home of the Lansdowne family. Jeremy Sumbler of Covered Occasions Marquees engaged us to design and deliver the lighting, sound and power distribution requirements for two consecutive events using the same marquee and infrastructure set-up: a Christmas Party for the Estate and a very special wedding for the Lansdowne family.
Evening illumination of such a venue offered us the opportunity to showcase a few of the remarkable features and aspects of this house and gardens in a way that the family and estate staff had not seen before, and for the wedding guests to enjoy.

Fully colour-controllable lights were used so that we could easily alter theme from a Christmas look to supporting the Wedding. And, of course, we also subtly lit the marquee to meet our clients’ wishes
Driving away from the vast marquee set up and looking back across the lake Richard and his team had bathed Bowood in the most fabulous light - they were such a creative crew - inside, in addition to the lights and special effects, they lit one marquee corridor for us with warm white lights for arrival which then became warm pinks and purples later in the evening - nothing was too much trouble !
